"Bobby is a really patient, kind, and funny teacher! Both of my kids enjoy taking lessons with him. They are always excited for Bobby to show them how to play their favorite songs. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and fun teacher for their kids (or themselves)!"
"Bobby is super knowledgeable and has taught me a lot about jazz and music theory. Very patient and easy to work with."
I hold a master’s degree in music education from NYU and have over ten years of teaching experience. I also received my bachelor’s degree at NYU in jazz performance, graduating at the top of my class receiving the Jazz Studies Program Award for Exceptional Achievement, Service, and Leadership.
I have taught music at a number of public and private elementary/middle schools including Wagner Middle School and PS69 Queens. I currently work as an elementary music teacher at the Embankment School in Jersey City.
It gives me great joy teaching both kids and adults about music and how to express themselves through their instruments. Aside from technique and theory, there is much more to music than meets the eye. I love connecting with students and showing them how fun and meaningful music can be! One of the most rewarding aspects of being a music educator is helping my students reach their goals and bringing them to a level they never thought was imaginable!
